Cooking is an asset to the modern gentleman. Whether you’re hosting for friends or want to make for a good date night, this is a skill to be practiced and mastered as a valuable tool in your arsenal. This week we explore an unknown for many burger lovers, the Falafel Burger. This burger is an interesting gourmet presentation perfect for any guest with a vegetarian diet.
2 cans garbanzo beans(chickpeas, whatever)
1 bunch of parsley fine chopped
1 bunch cilantro finely chopped
2 pieces of garlic peeled and chopped
Juice of half a lemon
1 tablespoon of flour, add more if needed
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Combine ingredients by hand, food processor, or mortar and pestle until they are all one thick paste. Form into burgers appropriate in size to your buns. Bake on a cookie sheet that has been brushed with olive oil at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes flipping halfway through.
When finished top off the burgers with feta, pickled red onions(see other recipe), red leaf lettuce, yogurt sauce.
2 cloves garlic
1 cucumber diced
Juice from half a lemon
10oz of plain yogurt(Greek if you prefer)
1 teaspoon salt
