In the PC world of gaming, Nvidia is the standard. They are so good at what they do, some of their technology stretches to gaming consoles and even some electronic interfaces. Well this time they have done the unthinkable! Introducing Project Shield, it’s a new device that allows you to take your gaming anywhere. That’s only the start. To be more specific, Project Shield is a full size game controller with new Wi-Fi technology and HD video and audio.  Did I mention that uses an Android based platform? This is all powered by the processing power of the Nvidia Tegra 4. Two Words… Simply Amazing! For you geeks out there this translates into:

Custom 72-core NVIDIA GeForce® GPU

Quad-core A15 CPU

5-inch 720p retinal multi-touch display

Custom, bass-reflex, tuned port audio system

802.11n 2×2 MIMO game-speed Wi-Fi

I can’t say enough about this giant technological leap in gaming. Project Shield allows you to play android based games, and also any game from your PC utilizing the same Wi-Fi connection. Nvidia has long had a reputation for greatness as stated earlier, and if this is any sign of things to come I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
